【Criminal Law Conference 2019】

 

The 2019 Criminal Law Conference co-organised by the Department of Justice, the Law Society and the Bar Association was concluded on 25 May. The Conference was well attended by participants from Hong Kong and abroad, most noticeably from the ASEAN jurisdictions and covered some pressing criminal law issues arising from the increasing transnational flows of information (computer crimes), people (human trafficking and sexual offences) and funds (money laundering). We were honoured to have the Right Honourable Lady Justice Hallett, Vice-President of the Court of Appeal Criminal Division, England and Wales, and Ms Julie Read, Chief Executive and Director, Serious Fraud Office, New Zealand attending the Conference as special guests and sharing their insights.
