【The Law Society’s Innovation Initiatives

Since the establishment of the InnoTech Law Hub (“ILH”) earlier this year, an initiative under the InnoTech Committee to nurture innovative legaltech ideas for possible members’ adoption, a lot have been done to help achieve the objective.

The ILH began its community roundtable series in May gathering different stakeholder groups to share the trials and tribulations of legal innovation and to cultivate cross-disciplinary communication between legal and technology professionals. An Innovation Value Chain Survey was launched and we have received over 130 responses. On 12 September, the first technology workshop of its series was held to enhance the legal profession’s technological competency and help members better understand available technology solutions to manage their daily work and legal practice more efficiently.

Meanwhile, the Law Society is working closely with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”) under the Global Acceleration Academy programme to co-develop practical and impactful legal tech solutions to address the innovation needs of our members.

Your continuous support to our innovation journey is crucial. Please stay tuned with us.
