【2019 Pro Bono and Community Work Recognition Programme and

Award Presentation Ceremony】

 

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Pro Bono and Community Work Recognition Programme and the Award Ceremony was concluded successfully on 19 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We were honoured to have the presence of The Hon. Chief Justice Geoffrey Ma, The Hon. Secretary for Justice Teresa Cheng, members of judging panel as well as other distinguished guests at the event. A record breaking 267 awards were presented to individual lawyers and law firms. Two new awards were introduced this year, namely, the “Distinguished Community Service Law Firm Award" to recognise law firms with an outstanding contribution to community services and the "Pro Bono and Community Service 10-Year Achievement Award" to recognise those who have supported the Programme for 10 years contributing to building a pro bono culture within the legal profession.

 

Congratulations again to all award recipients and my special thanks to the members of the judging panel and the Pro Bono and Community Work Recognition Committee.
