【Hong Kong e-Legislation (HKeL)

The new electronic legislation database known as HKeL has been launched for nearly three years. It aims to provide convenient and free public access to the Laws of Hong Kong in the form of a searchable online consolidated legislation database with legal status.

In addition to Hypertext Mark-up Language (HTML) and Portable Document Format (PDF), a new feature of Rich Text Format (“RTF”) has been recently introduced. It makes it easier for users to “copy and paste” legislative texts to email or other documents, and enables users to amend, make comments and notes on the legislation using desktop word processing software. If members are interested in the details, please refer to the HKeL website.
